Melita plc this morning rebutted a claim by its former sales director Christopher Cachia that he had been unlawfully dismissed and that he was owed money.

In its rebuttal, made in a counter protest signed by Dr Andrew Borg-Cardona, Melita said that Mr Cachia had resigned of his own free will after being faced with issues the company had in his regard and that all amounts due to him were settled or would be settled imminently. Mr Cachia was called upon to cease and desist from making unfounded claims.

Mr Cachia had, in a judicial protest, claimed to have been inexplicably dismissed from his job in what he called an abusive and illegal manner. Mr Cachia added that he had been psychologically pressured into signing a letter of resignation.
