Melita won the KO competition for Division Two and Three teams for a second successive year yesterday when they eased past Sta Venera Lightnings 3-0 in the final at the National Stadium. Goals from Matthew Borg I (60, 78) and Julian Galea, in stoppage time, sealed a comfortable victory for the Amateurs who wrapped up a memorable season in style after winning promotion to Division One earlier this month. Former Malta player Martin Gregory is coach of Melita. After the match, Melita captain Michael Martin received the trophy from MFA vice-president Carmelo Bartolo in the presence of sponsors Maltco Lotteries representatives.
