French President Nicolas Sarkozy said heads of state and government of Mediterranean countries would meet in Paris on July 13.
Sarkozy made the announcement at a news conference in Rome with Italian Prime Minister Romano Prodi and Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Zapatero.
Sarkozy, who was on a one-day visit to Rome, has been promoting a project for regional unity of Mediterranean
countries.
