The Manoel Theatre and Mediterranean Bank will be collaborating for the next three years after an agreement was signed by the bank’s CEO Mark Watson and Ray Attard, CEO of Teatru Manoel and MCC.
“Through this sponsorship, we will strive to continue offering high-calibre events, which befit this national gem,” said Mr Attard during the sponsorship signing held at the theatre.
“Corporate social responsibility is important to us and supporting and sponsoring the Manoel reflects this,” said Mr Watson.
“We are committed to supporting Malta’s national theatre in ensuring the highest quality productions and encouraging the public to appreciate the performing arts more. In addition, through its association with the theatre, Mediterranean Bank will continue to strengthen its brand value in the local market.”
Mediterranean Bank is a specialist bank focusing on wealth management, savings and investments. The bank perates from its headquarters at St Barbara Bastions, Valletta.
The Manoel Theatre will open its 2010-2011 season with a vocal and instrumental concert on October 1. Two opera singers from the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow will be accompanied by the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Brian Schembri.
