Eighteen medicines have had their prices reduced, the Social Dialogue Ministry, which is also responsible for consumer affairs, said.

The reductions vary from 3% to 47%.

The reductions were achieved after talks between the ministry and private importers.

A number of new, cheaper generic medicines have also been introduced on the market.
