Can I ask those in charge of purchasing medicinal and pharmaceuticals why Dapsone (and many other medicines for that matter) has been out of stock at Boffa for months? At least since February in my case, for which I might add I had actually paid. Dapsone is quite cheap, so the cost isn't really an issue, but customer care, patient comfort and ultimately health are.

Staff at the pharmacy, who are very professional I might add, have tried to help by issuing out-of-date stock but now that is gone and there is none to be had on the islands. These ladies and gentlemen were trying to help in the best way that they could. Are these same staff simply supposed to take the daily stress of patients' understandable frustration as a buffer to someone's bungling incompetence higher up?

What are patients to do, simply suffer in silence and trundle back and forth to Boffa in the hope that stock becomes available?

To add some alacrity to this situation and in the light of no officially offered alternative solution, I invite the chief bungler to take some sandpaper to his or her skin and rub vigorously till they draw blood every day till we get fresh stock - that's the kind of irritation that Dapsone stops. It might be cheap, it might be inconsequential in the scale of things, but Dapsone does stop a whole bunch of misery.
