The Mdina ditch which separates the Silent City from Rabat has been transformed into a fully accessible public garden.

The project, launched two years ago, will be inaugurated this evening by the Prime Minister.

The ditch was previously inaccessible except for sections which were used as a sports pitch and for parking.

None of the trees have been lost  but they have been rearranged so as to help one get a better understanding of the bastions. New trees have also been planted and the bastions have been restored..
