McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso dominated the second practice session at Fuji on Friday and set the fastest time of the day, well over half a second ahead of their Ferrari rivals.

In what apears to be a repeat of the pattern seen in Spa two weeks ago, Ferrari dominated the first practice session and McLaren the second. Ferrari had gone on to dominate the race.

Hamilton set a best time of 1:18.734 with Alonso on 1:18.948.Felipe Massa in the lead Ferrari was 0.749s behind Hamilton.

In the first session Kimi Raikkonen led with 1:19.119s followed by Massa and Alonso, the Spaniard on 1m19.667s. Raikkonen was fifth on Friday afternoon (Japan time), behind Jarno Trulli in a Toyota. Details to follow.
