McLaren lead Ferrari by 20 points in the constructors' championship standings after the Monaco race, the fifth on the season calander.

Fernando Alonso is equal on points with team-mate Lewis Hamilton in the drivers' table, both at 38, but the reigning champion leads by virtue of his two wins so far this season. Massa is third on 33 and Raikkonen at 23.

Alonso said his car felt "perfect" while Hamilton admitted to touching the barriers several times, thanking the team for having given him a strong car.

Team boss Ron Dennis said after the race that the McLarens could have gone faster but the team slowed both drivers down.

Felipe Massa admitted to have been impressed with the McLaren pace, saying there was nothing he could do to catch them.

The teams now pack and head across the Atlantic for Canada and then the US, two high-speed races where a Ferrari fightback is to be expected, the red car having been seen as having a superior top speed so far this season.
