The Malta College of Arts, Sciences and Technology last week launched its prospectus of 140 full-time courses to be offered in academic year 2010-2011.

Among the new courses on offer are Level 1 Foundation certificate courses, a new Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Fine Arts, a diploma in Creative Arts, an advanced diploma in construction and a diploma in insurance studies.

Talks for prospective students and parents will be held regarding the courses run by various Mcast institutes as follows:

On July 5 at 9 a.m. by the Art and Design Institute at Students House on the main campus in Paola; at 10.30 a.m. by the Agribusiness Institute at its premises in Qormi; at 5.30 p.m. by the Building and Construction Engineering Institute at its premises in Naxxar; and at 6 p.m. by the Information and Communications Technology Institute for students with surnames starting from A to K, at the Mcast Theatre on the main campus.

On July 6 at 9.30 a.m. by the Agribusiness Institute at the Mcast Theatre on the main campus; at 9.30 a.m. by the Gozo Centre at its premises in Xagħra; at 10 a.m. by the Community Services Institute at Students House on the main campus; at 6 p.m. by the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Institute at Students House on the main campus; at 6 p.m. by the Maritime Institute at its premises in Karkara; and at 6.30 p.m. by the Agribusiness Institute at its premisis in Qormi.

On July 7 at 6 p.m. by the Information and Communications Technology Institute for students with surnames starting from L to Z, at the Mcast Theatre on the main campus.

On July 8 at 9.30 a.m. by the Business and Commerce Institute at the Mcast Theatre on the main campus; and at 6.30 p.m. by the Mechanical Engineering Institute at Students House on the main campus.

On July 9 at 5.30 p.m. by the Building and Construction Engineering Institute at its premises in Naxxar.

Students and parents may seek information and advice from Mcast's Career Guidance and Counselling Service at the main campus without an appointment from July 12 to 30 between 8.30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

New applications for full-time courses will be received at the respective institutes as follows:

On July 26 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. by applicants with surnames starting from A to B.

On July 27 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. by applicants with surnames starting from C to F.

On July 28 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. by applicants with surnames starting from G to P.

And on July 29 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. by applicants with surnames starting from Q to Z. Applicants who cannot submit their application on the above dates may apply on July 30 from 8.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
