Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi has inaugurated Mazars Malta's new three-floor premises in Attard.
Managing partner Anthony Attard described the offices as "another milestone in the evolution of the firm", adding that the success came as a result of much hard work and personal sacrifice, and conviction in a vision, perseverance, and professional values.
"Other than a financial investment, these offices reflect our belief in the strength and wellbeing of Malta's business sector, and our confidence in the future of our economy," Mr Attard emphasised.
"A perfect example of this is the financial services industry which has grown substantially over the last few years due to the hard work of our legislators, regulators and practitioners. As practitioners, we also have a moral and professional obligation to safeguard and enhance the reputation of Malta within the financial services industry".
The roots of Mazars in Malta date to 1998, when Attard Giglio & Co. was established and grew to become one of Malta's leading mid-tier audit and advisory practices.
The firm merged with Mazars in September last year and currently employs 20 staff, led by three partners.
Mazars is an international, integrated and independent organisation specialised in audit, accounting, tax and advisory services. Mazars has its own offices in 50 countries across five continents with a workforce of over 10,500 skilled professionals.
