The Local Councils Association is compiling a report with councils’ complains on the public transport service which it will be passing on to Arriva.

The association will be giving the company a month to react to the complaints and has threatened legal action if it is ignored.

The LCA held a meeting for mayors this evening. The meeting was instigated by a motion approved by the Marsascala council during which councillors agreed to contact Arriva to tell the company that the council did not want bendy buses in the village core.

The mayors’ main complaints during this evening were on the unsuitability of bendy buses in the narrow roads of village cores, where they were also causing significant infrastructural damage, punctuality, poorly organised routes and an irregular service.
