The mathematics ordinary level examination at the Hamrun San Ġorg Preca Boys Junior Lyceum today started more than half an hour late, with students being told that there were not enough invigilators for the examination to commence, the student organisation Pulse said.

Pulse said in a statement it was concerned with the events as the situation ended up in a chaos with parents and police officers trying to calm down the situation. Students were later on promised that they would be given extra time at the end of the exam.

Pulse said that this was not the right environment for students to carry out their examinations.

Year after year students’ representatives were promised that such gaffes would not happen again but they were repeated each year to the detriment of students.
