Marsovin launched its fourth vintage of 1919 at the Marnisi Estate in Marsaxlokk last Monday.

This year, Marsovin Ltd commissioned the established artist Catherine Cavallo whose paintings were displayed during the launch.

In the past, Marsovin Ltd has commissioned Debbie Caruana Dingli for the 2004 vintage, Kenneth Zammit Tabona for the 2005 vintage, Denise Borg Millo for the 2006 vintage and now Cavallo for the 2007 vintage.

"The link between wine, culture and the arts has become synonymous with 1919 wines. Apart from providing the market with authentic, Maltese wine of excellent quality, the company is giving the opportunity to local artists to express their talents in a different field," said Jeremy Cassar, director of Marsovin.

The 1919 wines are a celebration of the year in which Anthony Cassar began Malta's leading winery, Marsovin.
