Marsaxlokk have been docked three points by the MFA after failing to make payments to a coach and two players.

The association said that on February 28 its disciplinary board warned the club that unless it paid former coach Patrick Curmi and players Peter Pullicino and Glann Zammit by April 4, a point would be deducted for each payment.

Since Marsaxlokk had not made the payment, the board has now decided to dock Marsaxlokk three points in the BOV Premier League table, the MFA said.

That means that Marsaxlokk, already at the bottom of the table, have had their tally reduced to six points, making survival from relegation very difficult.
