Marsa played Milan, who are on their seventh tour to Malta, in a three-match series which started on Friday afternoon in a 20-20 game.

Marsa won the toss and elected to bowl first. Some good batting from Ed Dawson (30 runs), Craig Buick (29 runs), Andy Lee and Ashish (both 19 runs) helped their side to 121 runs from their 20 overs. Angelo Spiteri was the main wicket taker for Marsa with two.

In reply, the Marsa side made their target in the 19th over. Andy Naudi top scored with 28 runs, while Javed Shah and Toushif both scored 22 runs. For Milan, Ashish was the main wicket taker with two wickets. Marsa went one up in the series.

On Saturday, Milan won the toss and elected to bowl. A fantastic innings from Chris Naudi, in which he made 89 runs, helped Marsa to a reasonable total of 210 runs from 40 overs.

Spiteri also batted well for 48 runs. Ashish, again, was Milan's best wicket taker, this time with three. In their run chase, Milan were bowled out in the 39th over, totalling 179 runs. Buick top scored with an entertaining 42 runs, including one mammoth six and four fours.

Lee batted well, scoring 36, and Ross 23 runs. For Marsa, Spiteri was again the main wicket taker with three wickets as the home side took a 2-0 lead.

On Sunday, Milan won the toss and this time elected to bat. Lee and Dawson opened the batting, putting on a 72-run partnership before Lee was caught for 35 runs.

Dawson was soon to go top scoring with 46 runs. Milan totalled 175 from their 35 overs.

Dimitri Zaf was Marsa's main wicket taker with two. The Marsa batsmen Angelo Spiteri (67 runs) and Andy Naudi (58 runs not out) put on a match-winning partnership of 121 runs. For Milan, Sunil and Ashish were the main wicket takers with two each. Marsa completed a 3-0 whitewash over Milan.

On Saturday, the Chairman's XI play the Captain's XI, starting at 10.30 a.m.

The nursery will be between 9.30 and 11.30 a.m.
