Way back in 2001 I brought to the attention of the minister responsible for roads the structural deterioration of some of the square pillars supporting the Marsa bridge, particularly the first row, north bound.

Investigations are being carried out, was the stock reply.

Two years ago I wrote a letter in this paper expressing concern regarding further deterioration of the same pillars with others starting to show similar cracks. I am writing again today for any inspection which the ADT may commission to technical people and an assurance from the same source that the Marsa bridge is still safe and not falling down.
