Nationalist MP Mario de Marco has been returned to Parliament, becoming the first Nationalist candidate to be elected from the first district.

He won 2,928 first count votes, compared to 1,727 five years ago.

Dr de Marco had served in the last Parliament as Chairman of Committees and a member of the Foreign and European Affairs Committee.
