The Ramla Bay Resort in Marfa has completed a €3.5m extension project which included the building of a new storey.

The hotel was closed over the winter but reopened in April and has had a good summer, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi was told during a tour this morning as part of the PN's Independence activities.

General Manager Taziana Grech, said the project was needed to ensure that the hotel remained sustainable.

Dr Gonzi met the management and workers and said this investment showed the private sector's confidence in Malta's tourism sector.
