Italian kitchen maker Ernestomeda’s realisation of world renowned designer Marc Sadler’s Carre kitchen is available for viewing at the Nouvelle by FXB showroom in Qormi.

The Carré kitchen, the outcome of three years’ intensive collaboration between the Italian firm and Sadler, was introduced at this year’s Eurocucina 2010 event in Milan.

Combining eclecticism and avant-garde design, Carré kitchen responds to the observer’s imagination and pays homage to the kitchen as a place that is the centre of the home’s daily life.

The design project arose from the desire to produce a kitchen with versatility, high craftsmanship and the potential of a wide assortment and infinite variety of colours, forms and combinations.

This kitchen has an innovative, trendsetting detail: a “handle” which transforms the conventional fixture into a recess in the door, making it convenient and stylish.

Carré’s major innovative content lies not just in the beauty of this detail, but also in the vast assortment of solutions possible: the new handle is available in a wide choice of shapes and sizes.

There are 46 varieties of both matt and gloss lacquered finishes, for both doors and handles. Handles can be supplied in wood, rosewood and olive versions, or in steel. The kitchen is completed by the addition of elements capable of satisfying a variety of furnishing requirements. The items available include open end base cabinets and cupboards and open boxes for base and tall cabinets, components ideal for creating counters or bookcases, depending on requirements.

Ernestomeda’s Carré kitchen is featured on the Italian X-Factor talent show.
