A man is expected to be arraigned in court charged with drug trafficking and possession following a cocaine and ecstasy find.

The police said the drugs were found during a search at a bar in Marsaxlokk, where they were told drugs were being trafficked and used.

On entering the bar, a 31-year-old man from Senglea, who was managing the bar was observed swallowing something, which after resulted was a packet of cocaine.

Scales were found in the bar and in his car and another five small blocks of cocaine were later found in his car, which was parked in the vicinity.

More cocaine and some ecstasy pills were later found at his residence.

The man will also be charged with allowing minors to frequent the bar.

Investigations are continuing.
