A man is expected to be charged in court in the coming days, accused of causing Gaia's death, the police said.

Gaia is the female boxer found in a skip last Friday by a jogger who heard noises coming from the skip and went to investigate. The dog had been sealed in a garbage bag and dumped.

The dog was operated upon soon after it was found but died later in the day.
