Two men were granted bail on Sunday after being charged with holding, threatening, assaulting and robbing a man in his field.
Shalon Abela, 24, and Tarek Khodir, 23, allegedly tasered Mario Vella and injured him as they demanded his cash.
They are accused of having stolen €2,329.
The case happened in Burmarrad in the early morning of October 18, 2016.
The two men were granted bail on a deposit of €300 and a personal guarantee of €2000.
They were also ordered not to approach Mr Vella and his family.
Defence lawyer Benjamin Valencia asked for Mr Khodir’s name to be withheld, because it was uncommon and he could be easily identified. Magistrate Doreen Clarke refused the request, saying there were no grounds to do so.
Dr Valencia also said that the clients were broke - with one of them having only been employed for a short while.
Magistrate Clarke noted that the accused are still very young and should learn a lesson from what was happening to them.
