A man from Cospicua was this morning jailed for 20 months after he admitted to stealing paintings.

Jesmond Haidon, 41, and another man, had been charged with stealing five paintings valued at €700 in August.

He had had then pleaded not guilty but this morning changed his plea to a guilty one.
