When police stopped a man from washing his car in the road, little did they expect an argument that escalated and one of the officers being slightly injured.

Leonard Cassar, 54 was washing his car last Sunday when the police passed by and asked him to stop throwing so much water into the road.

An argument ensued between the two officers and Mr Cassar with PC Brian Seychell suffering slight injuries. Mr Cassar admitted to slightly injuring the officer, resisting the police, disobeying their orders and breaching the peace.

Police Inspector Carlos Cordina prosecuted.

Lawyer Franco Debono appeared for Mr Cassar.
