A man was grievously injured in a traffic accident at Marsa this afternoon. He is not in a critical condition.

The police said the 46-year-old man from Valletta was driving a white Fiat Brava at Spencer Hill when he lost control and crashed into a tree at around 4.30 p.m.

Personnel from the Civil Protection Department helped take the man out of the car and he was then taken to hospital by ambulance.
