Three men were injured, one of them critically, in a brawl at Gzira, the police said.

A 33-year-old Pembroke man suffered grievous injuries to his face but is not in danger following a fight with a 39-year-old-man from Ta’ Xbiex in Sir Patrick Stuart Street, Gzira.

The fight started at around 4 p.m. inside the Orpheum but later it was taken outside.

Another two men, a 20-year-old from Gzira and a 33-year-old from Hamrun, were later run over by a Mercedes C200, driven by a 30-year-old woman from Mtarfa who fled the scene. The 33-year-old is in a critical condition and the 20-year-old suffered grievous injuries.

It is understood that the two events are connected and the woman and the 39-year-old are being held by the police.
