A man was granted bail today after being accused in court of having attempted to injure another person in an incident at St Paul's Bay on Thursday night.

Mohammed Hamdan, 31 was also accused of illegally carrying a pointed instrument, damaging the front door of his intended victim's apartment, threatening the police, violating the conditions of bail granted to him in 2006 and breaking a personal guarantee of €1,000 imposed in May this year.

The accused pleaded not guilty.
