A St Paul's Bay resident was grievously injured this morning after he was involved in a traffic accident on Triq is-Salini, limits of Naxxar.

The 32-year-old St Paul's Bay man was driving a Kia Ceed when he and a 26-year-old San Ġwann resident driving a Suzuki Samurai collided, police said. 

Both men were taken to Mater Dei hospital for treatment. While one man was grievously injured, the other emerged from the accident unscathed. 

Police say they are investigating further.
