A 35-year-old Libyan was grievously injured when he was allegedly attacked by another man armed with a knife during an argument between the two.

The police said that the incident took place onboard a vessel berthed in a shipyard in Marsa at about 3.15 a.m.

The police found the victim suffering a neck wound. He was immediately conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital, where it was established that he had sustained grievous injuries.

In the meantime, a suspect, who is also foreign, was arrested.

Investigations are underway by the District Police.
