A 25-year-old man from Mgarr lost his life this afternoon after being trapped under the 'bucket' of a small bulldozer in an industrial zone near Blata l-Gholja in Mosta.

The incident happened at about 3 p.m. in a depot for heavy vehicles operated by Swaey Brothers.

A number of workers rushed to help their colleague but he died on the way to hospital.

A magisterial inquiry is under way.
