Pierre Sghendo, 35 of Fgura was today conditionally discharged for two years after he admitted to causing some €2,000 worth of damages to his neighbour's apartment.

The incident happened when a piece of stone fell into Mr Sghendo's property from his neighbour's overlying apartment. An argument ensued over the phone and then Mr Sghendo, in a fit of rage, went up to his neighbour's apartment, kicked open the door and damaged the furniture.

Mr Sghendo told the court that he would pay for the damages.

The court issued a protection order for his neighbour, Luke Vella.
