A 38-year-old man was today released on bail after he pleaded not guilty to grievously injuring another man.

Renald Vella, of Marsascala, was also accused of committing wilful damage on a car yesterday, and of breaching public peace in Triq Gross, Marsascala.

Inspector Robert Said Sarreo prosecuted.

In a separate hearing, Ahmed Tarek Migref, from Tripoli and living in Ħal Far, was accused of stealing a mobile phone and relapsing. He also pleaded not guilty but was remanded in custody.

Inspector Carol Fabri prosecuted.
