A man who lives in St Paul’s Bay has been remanded in custody after pleading not guilty to defrauding his employer a sum exceeding €5,000 in March last year.

Stephen Osei Boateng, 33, who works for African Eagle Import Export Limited was arraigned this morning before Magistrate Ian Farrugia. He was also accused of aggravated theft, misappropriation and relapsing.

Police Inspector Jonathan Ferris prosecuted whereas lawyer Valentina Lattughi was defence counsel. Lawyers Noel Bianco and Johann Debono were parte civile for the company.
