One of three man allegedly involved in last Saturday morning's attempted hold-up at Frank Zampa Jewellery in Valletta was arraigned this morning.

Marcus John Calleja, 37 of Balzan, who works in a scrapyard, was accused of taking part in the attempted hold-up with another two unknown persons, holding Mr Zampa against his will.

He was also accused of grievously injuring Mr Zampa, being in unlawful possession of a firearm and relapsing.
