A man from Vittoriosa has been arrested after he was seen handing over a packet containing drugs to a prisoner, the police said today.

The incident took place at the law courts on Friday.

The police said they had also arrested a man from Mellieha following the discovery of drugs at his residence.

The search was made following a tip-off . Cocaine ready for trafficking was found in the house.
