A homeless recovering drug addict who went to Sedqa seeking shelter ended up in court today after he stole a laptop computer from the agency.

Adrian Zammit, 30, was given temporary shelter at the YMCA after he was sent there by Sedqa.

He told a court today that he had since returned the laptop, found a job as 'a security officer' and moved to Marsa.

The court imposed a two-year jail term suspended for three years and placed Mr Zammit under a supervision order for three years. He was also ordered to follow a drug rehabilitation programme.
