A 22-year-old man has been arrested by UK police investigating funds being stolen from people's PayPal accounts.

The suspect, from Twickenham, south-west London, was held on suspicion of fraud by false representation and Computer Misuse Act offences.

He was arrested on December 30 and then released on police bail to March 10, the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit said.

A spokesman said the arrest was in connection with an "ongoing investigation in to cyber fraud offences which took place between 2013 and August 2014 during which victims reported funds being stolen from their PayPal accounts".
