A Bulgarian man yesterday admitted to causing a total of €3,000 in damage to two parked cars when he crashed into them in St Paul’s Bay while under the influence of alcohol.

Teodor Hristov, 21, who lives in Buġibba, was driving an Audi A4 at about 11.30am on Tuesday morning when he crashed into a Renault Megane and a Toyota Vitz.

He also pleaded guilty to failing a breathalyser test and not being in possession of a driving licence or a motor insurance policy.

Magistrate Audrey Demicoli granted him bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000 and ordered him to report to Qawra police station every day.

Inspectors Nicholas Vella and Mark Mercieca prosecuted while lawyer Caroline Farrugia was defence counsel.
