A 29-year-old man has been remanded in custody after he was charged with breaking into six cars and damaging them over three days.

Magistrate Edwina Grima heard Stefan Cutajar, from Safi, plead not guilty to breaking into the cars and stealing between February 22 and 24 in various localities including San Gwann, Santa Venera, Msida and Valletta.

He was also charged with breaching the conditions of previous releases and relapsing.

He was remanded in police custody.

Police Inspectors EltonTaliana and Sarah Magri prosecuted.

Lawyers Kris Busietta and Jason Azzopardi represented the accused.
