A 71-year-old man from Luqa was killed in a traffic accident early this morning.

The police said the accident happened in Triq l-Ingiered, Luqa at 6.15am.

The man was hit by a Toyota Hilux that was being driven by a 58-year-old man from Mqabba.

The man was certified dead on the spot. An inquiry is being held.
