The following are the top stories in national newspapers today.

Times of Malta says that according to leaked e-mails from the Panama Papers, Mossack Fonseca actively pitched the government’s cash-for-passports scheme as being one of the easiest to satisfy with “lax” residency requirements. In another story, it says owners of illegal ‘boathouses’ in Armier have carried out extensive refurbishment during the winter months, it has emerged, making their structures more permanent.

The Malta Independent says 12 people will be arraigned on June 13 in connection with the Paqpaqli ghall-Istrina crash, which had left almost 30 people injured, some of them severely.

L-Orizzont says Mosta shop owners want traffic to return to the heart of the town as they claim they have lost half of their sales with the current system.

In-Nazzjon says the Medical Association of Malta knows of around 50 cases of direct interference from Castille and various ministries in the past three years.
