The following are the top stories in the national press today.

Times of Malta says female inmates at the Corradino prison are owed thousands of euros for curtain and costume design work they have done over the past year in a project endorsed by the Prime Minister’s wife, who chairs the Marigold Foundation. In another story, it says one of its photographers was accosted and manhandled outside the Splash and Fun waterpark while documenting extensive illegalities on the site.

The Malta Independent says the public transport operator has denied repeated claims that it intends to employ an all-Spanish workforce, insisting it gives priority to locals. It has also insisted it does what it can to give special concessions to employees in genuine cases.

MaltaToday says the Greens have balked over unclear policies in Marlene Farrugia’s party, which was still bereft of ideological direction.
