Associate Professor Stephen Gatt was presented to the President, Council and Fellows of the Royal College of Anaesthetists of the United Kingdom to be admitted to Fellowship of the College by election, last month.
This Fellowship was awarded in recognition of Prof. Gatt's outstanding contribution to anaesthesia worldwide. Prof. Gatt has been the President of the Obstetric Anaesthesia Society of Asia and Oceania for over 10 years. As of last December, one of Prof. Gatt's papers on the subject became the highest impact factor article, with its citation index being the highest ever recorded in anaesthesia.
Prof. Gatt is a speaker of international renown, and has lectured in 24 countries. He resides in Sydney, Australia, where he is the Director of Anaesthesia at the Prince of Wales hospital.
