Two Maltese dancers were recently awarded their ‘Instructor de Baile – Part One’ teaching qualification from the International Spanish Dance Society (SDS).

Bettina Von Brockdorff and Robert Scicluna underwent a year-long rigorous training programme under the direction of Deborah McNamara, before being examined by Marina Lorca and Luisa Cortes.

Scicluna is the first male candidate in Malta to be granted this prestigious teaching award.

Another male dancer, Eldridge Saliba Curmi, who also studies with McNamara, recently returned from the SDS summer school in London, where he was selected to perform dances from the SDS syllabus at a special demonstration. www.spanishdancesociety.org
