Partners HealthCare International of Boston, Massachusetts will be collaborating with Malta’s Vitals Global Healthcare Ltd to enhance health care services and clinical education in Malta, Health Minister Konrad Mizzi said today.
Speaking during a meeting from the series Gvern li Jisma this evening, the minister said Partners HealthCare International will focus on the development of clinical quality and patient safety standards, benchmarks and systems and, in conjunction with Bart’s Medical School in Gozo, the development of structures and systems for post graduate medical education.
The US company is the global arm of Partners HealthCare, one of the leading integrated academic health care systems in the US.
The minister said that Partners HealthCare International’s founding members, Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham and Women’s Hospital are the two largest Harvard Medical School affiliated hospitals, and are consistently ranked in the top 10 on the US News and World Report’s list of best hospitals.
He said Partners Healthcare International has partnered with institutions and health care systems in over 40 countries to drive transformative, sustainable improvements in health care worldwide.
