Maltco Lotteries said today it is revamping the Grand Lottery. The ticket price has been reduced to €3 (from €10) and a draw will be held every week from September 13.The game was previously every two months.

Sales start tomorrow and the first jackpot will be of €1,270,000 since the previous jackpot was not won.

CEO Ioannis Katakis said that if the jackpot is claimed, the new starting jackpot for the first winning category will be at least €500,000.

If the first category is not won, then an amount of at least €20,000 will be transferred to the jackpot of the next draw. 

The game structure will be unchanged. Each ticket will feature 10 numbers of seven digits.

Apart from the top prize for whoever gets all the numbers correct and in the right order, there will be lower categories which will include prizes ranging from €4,500 to €300.
