Maltco Lotteries said today that from the next Grand Lottery draw, it will offer  its players much better chances to win the jackpot, currently at €1,560,000.

"The chances of winning the 1st prize category will now be almost double, to 1:400,000 tickets instead of 1:700,000 tickets. Each ticket will still cost €3. In the eventuality that the Jackpot is not won, it will be incremented by the sum of €10,000 on a weekly basis," the company said.

The 2nd category will increase when there is no jackpot winner to €6,008 from €4,500, the 3rd category will increase to €2,003 from €1,500 while the 4th category will increase to €401 from €300.

The Grand Lottery was launched 10 months ago and relaunched as a weekly draw four months ago, but no one has ever won the jackpot.
