Just days ago, the three Nationalist MEPs - David Casa, Roberta Metsola and Francis Zammit Dimech - voted in favour of a European Parliament resolution which targeted Malta and Slovakia.

Whoever drafted that infamous resolution seems to have had the three MEPs sitting next to the author, dictating the text of the resolution, the aim of which is to continue to spread the worst possible scenario in Europe and beyond about lack of good governance, police incompetence, corruption and money laundering in our own country. Which also happens to be the country of the three Nationalist MEPs.

And, yet, they have the cheek to present themselves, once again, to Maltese and Gozitan voters on May 25, asking to be trusted with their vote to represent the interests of Malta and its people in the EU institutions.

Unfortunately, the other candidates on the Nationalist Party list who will be contesting the same election have not given any indication that they would be putting the interests of our country before that of the party.

Keep this in mind on May 25.
