Maltapost will continue to diversify its business in the coming years entering non-traditional  areas such as insurance, chairman Joe Said said this morning.

He was speaking during the inauguration of a new extension of its head office by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi.

Mr Said said that in the past years, the company privatised a few years ago, invested €11 million, diversifying its services from traditional post to back office solutions, hybrid mail, scanning and archiving.

He said insurance services will now start being given from all Maltapost outlets.

The company is also working on the opening of a post museum in Valletta.
